Cold, wet Carcassonne

We thought if we left Sarlat and headed down to Carcassonne a day early we might escape the cold.

It was 50 degrees today in Carcassonne.

Sad because the weather really put a kink in a fond memory. Carcassonne was the sight of one our most treasured trips to Europe over 10 years ago. It was good for the sights we saw, the food we ate and in particular for the good weather we had. So, to go back trying to relive that event and have it challenged instead by such horrible weather is really a downer. We've all but given up hope that we'll have anything but cold, wet weather for the rest of the trip. Our only hope now is temps above 60 and no rain when we go back to Disneyland in a week.

Bummer on the weather! All the pics are still cool though :) I would have given up and gone to Italy by now.
