The Mistral winds

The Mistral winds blew hard today. But it was sunny and much warmer than it has been in the past. So, it was a great day. We went to a tiny village at the summit of a rock outcropping called Les Beux. Groovy little place to wander around. In the castle ruins above they did some sort fighting and launched a couple of trebuchets (sp?) Sophie  had a great time as did we all. Afterwards we drove to Arles for dinner and to look around. Ended up doing a little VanGogh walking tour where you can see the location of some of his paintings. It was fun to retrace his steps as he worked in all sorts of simple, yet evocative locations.

Tomorrow we'll stick around in Avignon. Later!
